Introducing: Bill Hiskett.
We are very excited to announce a partnership with our first artist!
When we took on this space we knew that we didn’t want to fill our walls with just anything, so we’ve been reaching out to local artists to see if they’d like to hold their work here.
And the best part is that you can purchase their work that we’ve got displayed!
Below is a little extra about our first photographer…
Bill Hiskett is an event, sports and landscape photographer based in Sudbury, Suffolk. He moved there in the late 1990s from Braintree and immediately fell in love with the area.
His photography has been a hobby for many years which became more serious about 12 to 15 years ago. He was assisting a friend videoing a concert for Barnardos at the Royal Albert Hall when the charity expressed an interest in the photo's he had produced for the video cover and suggested he concentrate on photographing the concerts for them.
Through a series of coincidences he met a local conductor who wanted some photos taken, this led to him being asked to photograph a concert with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra with whom he worked for the next 5 years, even covering a royal gala concert.
Over the years he has worked regularly with organisations such as Barnardos, The National Children's Orchestra of Great Britain, Cambridge Philharmonic, and for a bit of fun, Pink Floyd tribute Think Floyd - a lot easier than the classical stuff ...
Along with the music photography Bill also enjoys photographing events, parties and occasionally weddings, although he finds these scary until he gets started.
For relaxation he enjoys getting out in nature with his camera to practice his landscape photography techniques. Black and white are his favoured shades, stripping away the colour to leave the details standing out, the pictures chosen by Esther to display in her studio are amongst Bills favourites, The Wintery Lane is a special favourite, taken in the 2011 / 2012 winter it features a road just outside the village of Bures called Smallbridge Entry.
Bills website is www.niskett.net, we hope you enjoy the photographs on display, thank you Esther for choosing my images to display in your studio.
If you’re interested in Bill’s work, feel free to come down and view these wonderful pieces.
